Len was born in the USA, and lived most of his youth in rural Connecticut. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University, and recently, completed a M.Ed. in School Counselling at University of Massachusetts.
Len started working in education in 1978 in a special needs public school in the USA. He took a sabbatical for several years to build a sailboat and cruise through the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean before returning to work in international residential schools in the UK, India, Thailand, and the USA.
In 2009, he joined UWCT (then-PIA) as Head of School, and in 2010 returned to the USA to complete his Master’s. Len has worked as a teacher of mathematics, environmental science, chemistry, and human development, as a pastoral tutor, international field trip coordinator, school director, and fundraiser. His passion is holistic education and the development of each child’s intellectual, artistic, physical, spiritual, and social potential. Len enjoys cycling, backpacking, camping, walking, cooking, and when the mood strikes, Argentine Tango. He is joined in Phuket with his dear wife, Renu.
