PHUKET CULTURAL & ADVENTURE CAMP

MON, DEC 21 8:30AM-3:30PM
Go on a mangrove planting expedition!
Our campers will plant mangroves raised by UWC Thailand students in our very own nursery and learn why they are important to Phuket’s ecology and culture. After lunch, travel to Phuket Town to study Sino European architecture and street art, before trying your hand at creating a Batik on Sa paper!
TUES, DEC 22 8:30AM-3:30PM
Release baby turtles back into the sea!
Visit a turtle foundation to learn about nesting sea turtles, how we can best support them, and then help participate in a baby turtle release. After lunch, work as a team to conquer Thanyapura’s adventure obstacle course before cooking traditional and delicious Southern Thai cuisine.
WED, DEC 23 10AM-5PM
Hike to a waterfall and finish with a campfire!
Hike in Khao Pra Taew National Park, splash in the waterfall, learn about local plants and animals, and how to cook and survive in the jungle! After lunch, use clay to create a work of Phuket-inspired art. At 5pm, parents are invited to join campers at UWCT to roast some marshmallows over a campfire.

CAMP ESSENTIALS
This camp involves a lot of physical activity. Your child should be prepared for several hours of physical exertion each day. We recommend packing an extra set of clothing (including socks and shoes) each day as campers may get wet at the beach and in the national park. Campers will be required to wear face masks and comply with Covid-19 prevention measures as mandated by the Thai government. Don’t forget, registration closes December 9, so book today.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Thai School Director Kru Kanok via kanok.c@uwcthailand.ac.th
