The goal of all IB schools is to create “inquiring, knowledgeable, caring young people who are motivated to succeed.” At UWC Thailand International School, we believe that learning comes from the process of doing and that student engagement is fundamental. Through the experience of ‘doing’, we engage students’ curiosity using guiding questions and then help them to discover their own answers.
An age-appropriate, play-based Early Childhood Education programme that gives children time to explore, investigate and discover at their own pace both indoors and outdoors. Our class sizes are intentionally small and all teachers have Early Childhood Education credentials. Limited spaces are available for this academic year.
The PYP at UWCT is a concept-driven curriculum, designed around Units of Inquiry. With teacher guidance, students are able to shape their own learning through inquiry, research, and reflection. The PYP culminates in a showcase of student work during the Grade 5 Exhibition.
The MYP’s unique approach to curriculum was designed to prepare students to be active participants in our global society through eight subject groups. The MYP is designed to help build academic and individual independence with students during the early teen years of Grades 6 to 10.
As one of the world’s most rigorous programmes, the DP equips students for success at university and beyond. At UWCT, the DP Courses route is also available for students whose focus is split between academics and other passions requiring extensive commitment.
