Our Educational Mission
The global mission of the United World College movement is to make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. At UWC Thailand, we aim to realise this mission by delivering a mindful, diverse education underpinned by our belief in the connection between a “Good Heart, Balanced Mind, and Healthy Body”. We utilise the International Baccalaureate curriculum as our academic foundation and employ world-class teachers to create an exceptional learning community.
A Mission-Centric, Mindful Education
In addition, UWC Thailand is considered UWC’s pioneer in embedding Social-Emotional Learning and Mindfulness (SEL&M) into our curriculum. Under the direction of our Mindfulness Mentor, our staff, students, and parents develop their ability to think and act mindfully using time and strategies inside and outside the classroom.
In addition to a united mission and common set of values, each UWC operates uniquely, with a distinct local and regional identity.
Our Educational Model
This diagram outlines the educational model at UWC Thailand, which balances five core areas of focus. We feel the synergies between this model and the IB curriculum help us to curate a robust yet flexible educational journey for our students. By fostering our students’ own desire for life-long learning and equipping them with a set of tools they can use to grow and succeed, UWC Thailand empowers students in order to tap into their greatest potential.

Academics
The school is a member of the IB Organization (IBO) and can therefore be called an IB World School. Preschool to Grade 5 students are members of the Primary Years Programme. The school is also authorised to deliver the Middle Years Programme (Grades 6 to 10), as well as the Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12).
