Modern-day slavery exists in many aspects. From human trafficking and sex slavery to forced and child labour, as well as domestic surveillance. The 24-hour race at UWC Thailand International School aims to fight against harming the vulnerable. The race attempts to raise awareness about human trafficking by running in teams of 8 for 24 hours. Moreover, all funds collected will be directed towards NGOs which are fighting human slavery on a daily basis.
